[ 2 comments ] PLEASE READ - Are you Subscribed by Email?

Are you subscribed to my blog via email subscription? If not, you will need to do so in order to continue receiving my posts. This is because I will be switching to WordPress soon and wordpress does not support followers. Feedburner does, however, allow me to move my email subscription over. Why am I switching to WordPress? Well, the short answer is this:

I am switching to a domain name, so wordpress.org is the way to go for a website/blog. I'm doing this so that I will be able to put a short, concise domain name on my CD.

Blogger will soon be removing the ability to edit HTML (gasp!) and that's pretty bad news for me considering I love to modify a template to suit my needs.

I'm helping my cousin Sonja out to get her website up and running on the same platform (wordpress.org) since she is switching from blogger also.

Blogger is Google and Google is... well. Google.

Wordpress.org is free, you just have to pay for your domain name and hosting. Since we already have hosting for our family website (www.pebblecrossing.com), all I have to pay is a yearly fee of about $12 for the domain name. It also seems much more customizable.

To subscribe, enter your email address on the sidebar and hit submit. You will need to verify your subscription by clicking the link in an email you will receive. I can't tell you how many people enter their email address but don't click the link in the verification email they get after they do so. Because of this, they don't get my posts in their inbox, so make sure to check your email right after you sign up.

Hey, y'all like the new background image... eh? My cousin Sonja took the beautiful pictures that have been backgrounds on my blog recently. Very cool.
